Becky + Sisco

As photographers at Becky and Sisco's Backyard wedding in Durham, we were able to photograph the lovely couple and their family at their family property. The unique and colourful bridesmaids dresses, the perfect sunset, and the warm glow of sparklers at their wedding reception made it a magical day! 

We started the day by capturing some of the details from the day - namely, Becky's wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses perfect for the hot weather. Fun fact, Becky and Sisco planned their wedding in TWO months after relocating their wedding to an outdoor location due to COVID19 restrictions at their former venue. I am SO CONVINCED that Becky can be an AMAZING event planner, and you'll soon see why when you see the lovely decor at their wedding.

After some of the portraits, Becky and Sisco saw each other for the first time at a place called "Lover's Lane," fitting for the wedding day. This first look was such an emotional part of the day but was definitely worth the wait.

Becky and Sisco did not forget to include Becky's grandma in the celebrations of the day. We were fortunate to have been allowed to join Becky and Sisco on their visit! Since January, this was the first time Becky saw her grandmother in person. 

Once the ceremony and formal photos were done for the day, we had our first shot (pun intended) at a farm! The perfect golden hour light made portraits a lot of fun, and we even had the chance to photograph the lovely couple inside a barn.

Little did Becky and Sisco know, a bridesmaid had tipped us off that a surprise was waiting for the couple for when they'd return. Leaving Becky and Sisco in the good care of friends, Marcello and I packed our gear, and made it back to the reception to capture the chic glamping set up organized by their friends and family!

All in all, some sparklers and smores by the fire were an excellent finish to the evening. And we are so glad that we were able to join Becky and Sisco in their festivities! The motto for 2020: Love is not cancelled. Congratulations, Becky and Sisco!
